Signary

Terms of Service

Last updated: 12 August 2026

What we sell

Signary sells digital machine embroidery design files (VP3, DST, PES and SVG formats) of Adinkra symbols. Every design is digitised and test-sewn before it is offered for sale. Purchases are digital downloads delivered instantly after payment — there is no physical product.

Licence to use the files

When you buy a design, you get a licence to embroider it and sell the finished physical items (garments, accessories, home goods, etc.) you make with it, up to 200 pieces per design per year. You may not redistribute, resell, share, or sublicense the design files themselves — the licence covers finished embroidered items, not the digital file.

Payment and merchant of record

Checkout, payment processing, and sales tax/VAT compliance are handled by Paddle.com, acting as our merchant of record. Paddle's own terms apply to the payment transaction itself.

Intellectual property

Adinkra symbols are a cultural heritage of the Akan peoples of Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire and are not owned by Signary. The specific digitised embroidery files — the stitch paths, underlay, and file structure we create — are original work and remain the property of Signary except for the licence granted above.
